The ages we cover
We stock toys for roughly the first six years. Here's what tends to hold a child's attention at each stage.
- 12m+ Grabbing, stacking and knocking down. First steps with something to lean on.
- 18m+ Pulling and pushing things along. Shapes that go in matching holes.
- 3 years+ Roles and small worlds — shops, vets, garages, boats and the stories that go with them.
- 5 years+ Building properly, sorting, counting and keeping score.
Every product page lists the manufacturer's minimum age — always check it before buying, as age markings on toys are a safety warning about small parts, not a guide to ability. Browse all toys →
Why wood
It survives the stairs. Then it survives the sibling.
Solid rubberwood, beech and birch. Heavy enough to stay put when a toddler leans their weight on it, soft enough to be safe in a mouth. The grain shows through the paint, the corners round off with use, and the dent from the first year is still there in the sixth.
